Dick Willhoit

Dick has led Estrella Associates since the company was founded in 1985. It has been Dick’s primary goal, from the very beginning, to foster a team approach to the land development and home building industry within Estrella Associates. Dick has an extensive knowledge of and background in land acquisition, entitlement procurement, land development, management of residential properties and management of homeowner associations. His vision and leadership directs the Estrella team to aspire to excellence in quality, customer satisfaction, industry leadership and profitability.

Dick has been involved with the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast for many years. He is a past president and Life Director of the organization, and believes in strengthening the local building economy through business affiliations with other members. He is also a Life Director of the California Building Industry Association; serves as a Commissioner on the Housing Authority of Paso Robles; and is a member of the Board of Directors for the UCSB Economic Forecast Project. Dick is very active in local education and is a long-time member of the School Board for the Paso Robles Joint Union School District. He was the Board President the year following the merger of the elementary and high school districts and currently serves on the District’s Career Technical Education Advisory Committee and the Applied Technology Academy Advisory Committee.

Wes Willhoit
Sr. Vice President Business Development

As Sr. VP Business Development, Wes manages all aspects of site development and vertical construction for the company. He has eight years of comprehensive exposure to the real estate development business and holds two California Contractor’s Licenses: General Engineering and General Building. Through his involvement with a range of Estrella-developed projects, Wes has gained a sound knowledge for leading design professionals in the creation of construction documents. Wes led the team that achieved LEED Gold Precertification for River Oaks Center.

He is a member of the Home Builders Association of the Central Coast’s Government Affairs and Legislative Advocacy Committees and is involved with C4, the California Central Coast Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. He is also a member of the Urban Land Institute, holding ULI certificates in Real Estate Development and Real Estate Finance. Wes attended Cuesta College and Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington, with a concentration in Business Administration. 

Angela Jones
Vice President Operations

Angela is a Certified Community Association Manager and manages the River Oaks Master Planned Community. In her capacity, Angela is responsible for overseeing the operations, maintenance and financial wellbeing of the River Oaks Golf Course, River Oaks Hot Springs Spa, as well as the Community Associations managed by Estrella Property Management. Her duties also include the administration of standard subdivisions within the River Oaks community. Angela joined the Estrella team in 2004. Prior to that, Angela spent six years in customer service with the Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, AZ and was owner/operator of two local coffee shops, one located in Paso Robles and the other in San Luis Obispo. Angela earned her bachelor’s degree in Business and Public Administration with an international emphasis from the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma, Washington. 

Matt Thomsen

Matt is a Certified Community Association Manager and has sound knowledge of sustainable building practices. He assists in all aspects of site development and construction for Estrella Associates. Matt joined the Estrella team in 2004. He serves on the SLO Green Build Peer Review committee and is a graduate of the University of Oregon with a bachelor’s of science degree in Political Science and a minor in Economics.

Gloria Willhoit

Gloria taught elementary school for 21 years in the Panama Buena Vista School District in Bakersfield before relocating to Paso Robles. She is now focused on creating Exceptional Experiences for homebuyers, and sharing the future within the River Oaks Community. On behalf of Estrella Associates she is an Ambassador for the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce and will help the team introduce upcoming projects and amenities.
